Statement of Los Angeles County Supervisor Michale D. Antonovich on Transit Mixed Concrete Proposal

The Transit Mixed proposal of jamming dozens of 18-wheel, diesel-belching trucks, 24 hours a day onto State Route 14 would make traffic a nightmare. It would add to the traffic congestion and air pollution which are already serious concerns in this region. Concerns about the project's impact on public health as a result of TMC's attempt to surface mine aggregate to close to a major population center need to be addressed.
